Locorotondo is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy: Its name comes from “round place” due to the circular shape that characterizes it.

The small ancient nucleus made up of typical stone and lime houses is beautiful and intimate. In particular, white envelops everything making its baroque architecture shining.

Locorotondo houses having sloping roofs are called “cummerse”.

Its historic center is a succession of typical corners, flowered balconies and panoramic views and a sense of order and peace reigns in the narrow alleys and it is easy to fall in love with this magical atmosphere.

During Christmas, Locorotondo is colored with flowers and smells and the houses are decorated for the party, attracting visitors from all over the world, and it has become one of the most photographed and posted villages on Instragram.

One of the most important churches in Locorotondo is San Rocco, patron saint of the city who, according to tradition, warded off the plague.
