Torre Guaceto

Long sandy beach inside a natural reserve

Torre Guaceto is certainly one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in Puglia, ideal for nature lovers and perfect for a day full of sea, sun and snorkeling.
In addition to enjoy an unspoiled sea, it is possible to walk and bike and the reserve is accessible all the year.
Torre Guaceto is about 15/20 minutes drive and the road crosses “Serranova”: don’t forget to stop to take some pictures of the amazing millenary olive trees that you will find in that area along the way (Below some photos in February).
It worth to mention that Torre Guaceto is one of the few “rest” areas of various migratory bird species, and every year also several turtles are released to the sea.
Note that the car has to be parked before the beach on a large car park and there is a shuttle service for those who want to sunbathe on the beach and visit this wonderful place!
Since it is a Natural Reserve, bathing is forbidden in some areas to protect the marine fauna.
